1. It deters theft in the first place, which is always the best solution. With the highly visible markers on both the laptop and the handle of the case a would-be-thief thinks twice about stealing a laptop that is trackable.
2. Most laptops and office equipment is stolen to be pawned or sold. The STOP System tattoos the equipment making it virtually worthless to the buyer of stolen goods. Thieves quickly steer clear of items which present risk and offer no reward.
3. If an employee inadvertently leaves his or her laptop in a taxi or restaurant, the STOP System provides a 1-800 number for an honest citizen to start the process of returning it to you.
4. Should your laptop or other office equipment be recovered by the Police the 1-800 number gives them an easy and trouble free method of tracking it back to you.

   How Does It Work?

   The STOP Plate

   The heart of the STOP System is the patented, solid aluminium security plate. It is made of aluminium, with a baked-on clear enamel finish, and affixed to your equipment with adhesive so strong that removal of the security plate will physically alter the case. Each security plate bears a unique barcode and a toll-free telephone number to call in case lost or stolen equipment is found.  Smaller plates are available for PDA's, cell phones, or anything you wish to permanently identify.

   There's more to the security plate, however. During installation of each security plate, a permanent "STOLEN PROPERTY" tattoo also bearing the toll-free number is chemically etched into the equipment. This tattoo remains if the aluminium plate is pried off and cannot be removed without marking or defacing the case.

   Highly Visible Sticker

   With each plate we also supply a highly visible STOP sticker which warns the would-be-thief that this piece of equipment is trackable and traceable.

   

   Laptop Case Tag

   By their very nature laptops are meant to be portable. This puts them at a further risk for theft. The thief will not realize that inside the case there is a security plate and warning sticker. For this reason we offer an optional laptop case tag with our packages.

   Remember prevention is the first and best line of defence.

   Each plate number along with the make, model, serial number and owner of the equipment is registered with STOP. A call to the toll free number yields quick and easy ownership verification.

   STOP will contact you to let you know your lost or stolen equipment has been found and will assist in having it returned to you.
